Ever since I was a child I have been fond of table settings. And since I give historical cooking workshops for children of Roman & Medieval times and 17th century, I had quite some inspiration for an afternoon tea. I looked at Mrs Beeton’s ‘All about cookery’ with images of sweets from 1907 and here is my own version. A mix of older (17th century) and 20th century ways of presenting a lot of nice sweets!

Of course champagne was not to be missed at this happening.

Some historical games.

Listening and dancing to the gramophone.
