Deauville, Normandy, France
Our event takes place in France and our guests (so far) come from France, The Netherlands and the UK. Therefore most of our communication is in English. However, for the French who are not fluent in English we’ll provide you a little teaser here in French.
Récemment émigré de Russie, en 1919, le Grand-Duc Kornilov veut conjuguer son amour pour Deauville, son casino et ses courses, avec sa passion pour la mer qu’il exige d’avoir en permanence sous les yeux. Il cherche une maison digne de lui et ne la trouvant pas, il décida de la bâtir, là où elle serait le mieux. Après de nombreuses recherches, son architecte triomphant, vient lui annoncer : «Votre Altesse, je ne vais pas vous bâtir une maison sur la mer, mais une maison dans la mer ! Vous n’aurez pas que la vue de la mer, vous en aurez les effluves, vous en aurez le bruit, elle sera à portée de main!».
La situation est en effet unique : la mer à 180 degrés, Deauville et sa plage à portée de vue, une situation élevée et un terrain qui permet de descendre à pied à la plage. Bâtie en trois ans, rien ne sera considéré trop beau ou trop cher… La villa Rosina, du nom de la cantatrice bien aimée du Grand-Duc Kornilov, offre une vue imprenable sur toute la côte. Sur trois jours, nous vous proposons une escapade dans le temps afin de vous faire vivre un moment hors-norme, dans une époque ou le savoir-vivre était instinctif. Préparez vos malles avec des costumes 1920-1930s, la plupart des participants joueront ‘le jeu’. Nous avons loué la villa Rosina, ses 1.7 hectare de jardin face à la mer… et sa plage privée. Et nous comptions en profiter en groupe, avec vous.

Saturday 24th of September
For those staying in the villa: a relaxing morning with breakfast and some free time to enjoy the beautiful villa and gardens
13.00 -16.00
Entertainment beach + lunch (music, games, playing tennis in 1920s style, swimming and if too cold, showing off your 1920s/1930s bathing outfit)
16.00-18.30 free time for our guests at the villa and the organisors will prepare everything for the evening.
18.30 apéro and then:
Murder mystery evening with plateau de fruit de mer & champagne

Sunday 25th of September
For the guests in the villa again we propose a lazy morning in which we also will prepare for check out.

Garden-lunch (if the weather is bad it will be a lunch in the villa)

Guided tour in the area with a focus on the 1920s buildings.
